Type of Peer Review

ICACSIS employs double-blind review, where both the reviewer and author remain anonymous throughout the process.

How is the reviewer selected?

Reviewers are matched to the paper according to their expertise. Our database is constantly being updated. We welcome suggestions for reviewers from the author though these recommendations may or may not be used.

Reviewers are asked to evaluate whether the manuscript:

– Is original
– Is methodologically sound
– Follows appropriate ethical guidelines
– Has results which are clearly presented and support the conclusions
– Correctly references previous relevant work

Reviewers are not expected to correct or copyedit manuscripts. Language correction is not part of the peer review process.

The Decision of the Manuscript

A final decision to accept or reject the manuscript will be sent to the author along with any recommendations made by the reviewers and may include verbatim comments by the reviewers.

Director’s Decision is Final

Reviewers advise the editor, who is responsible for the final decision to accept or reject the article.

No-Show Policy

Papers that are not presented in the conference will not be included in the final Proceeding.

Submission Preparation Checklist

  • ICACSIS 2026 will not accept papers that, at the time of submission, are under review for or have already been accepted or published in a journal or another conference.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word, pdf document file format. If submitting in LaTeX file format, please include LaTeX source code for camera ready submission. There will be additional fees (50 USD/page) if your paper is more than 6 pages, and please be sure that your paper is not more than 10 pages.
  • All URL addresses in the text (e.g., http://pkp.sfu.ca) are activated and ready to click.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 10-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the two links above.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed track of the conference, authors’ names are removed from submission, with “Author” and year used in the bibliography and footnotes, instead of authors’ name, paper title, etc. ICACSIS 2026 employs a double blind reviewing process (reviewers do not know the author’s identity or vice versa). The authors should ensure that their identity never appears anywhere in the submitted paper.
  • If submitting to peer review, all Microsoft Office documents (including Supplementary Files) have been saved by going to File and selecting Save As; clicking Tools (or Options in a Mac); clicking Security; selecting “Remove personal information from file properties on save”; clicking Save.

Copyright Notice and IEEE Publication Policy

Authors submitting papers to this conference are required to comply with IEEE copyright, publication, and paper-sharing policies.

IEEE Copyright

Authors of accepted papers are required to complete the IEEE Electronic Copyright Form (eCF) before their papers can be published in the IEEE Xplore® Digital Library.

The IEEE eCopyright system will determine the appropriate copyright agreement based on the circumstances of each paper. For papers subject to the standard IEEE Copyright Form, copyright will be transferred to IEEE upon completion of the copyright process. Different copyright arrangements may apply to certain works, including U.S. Government, European Union, and Crown works.

Authors should complete the IEEE eCopyright process through the link provided via the ICACSIS 2026 submission system.

Originality and Publication

Papers submitted to ICACSIS 2026 must be original works of the listed authors. Submitted papers must not have been previously published and must not be simultaneously submitted to or under consideration by another publication.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions comply with IEEE publication ethics and policies.

Paper Sharing and Posting

Authors may share or post versions of their papers only in accordance with the applicable IEEE paper sharing and posting policies.

IEEE distinguishes among different versions of a paper, including:

  • Preprint – the version prior to IEEE peer review;
  • Author-submitted paper – the version originally submitted to an IEEE publication;
  • Accepted paper – the version revised following peer review and accepted for publication; and
  • Final published paper / Version of Record – the final version published in the IEEE Xplore® Digital Library.

Different sharing and posting rules apply to each version.

In particular, for papers published under the standard IEEE Copyright Form, authors may post an accepted version only in locations and under conditions permitted by IEEE. The final published IEEE Xplore® version may not be posted online by authors except where otherwise permitted by the applicable IEEE policy or publishing agreement.

Authors should therefore consult the official IEEE policy before uploading or distributing copies of their accepted or published papers.

Reuse and Republication

Publication of a paper through IEEE does not automatically permit publication of the same paper elsewhere.

Any reuse, republication, or distribution of IEEE-copyrighted material must comply with the applicable IEEE copyright and permissions policies.

Authors who intend to develop an extended or substantially revised work for subsequent publication should ensure that the new work complies with the policies of IEEE and the subsequent publisher, appropriately cites the original conference paper, and obtains any required permissions for reuse of IEEE-copyrighted material.

Important Notice

ICACSIS 2026 does not independently apply a Creative Commons license to papers published through IEEE.

The copyright status and applicable publication agreement for each accepted paper are determined through the IEEE Electronic Copyright Form (eCF) and the applicable IEEE publication policies.

Authors are encouraged to review the official IEEE policies before sharing, posting, reusing, or republishing material from their ICACSIS 2026 papers.
